By Mohammad A.Yousef
A storm is upon us,
Winds howl, the skies turn gray,
We must run away.
Her path shifts and bends,
Dark clouds gather like shadows,
Time to make amends.
Feet pounding the ground,
Heart racing with every breath,
Nature's fierce sound.
Lightning splits the sky,
Thunder rolls, a wild drumbeat,
We cannot stay here.
With every sharp gust,
We chase the light, seek the calm,
Hope is all we trust.
For Syria calls,
But danger looms in the air,
We must heed the squall.
Run fast, don't look back,
The storm swirls, chaos unfolds,
Stay strong on this track.
The winds roar and twist,
We'll fight against nature's wrath,
Together, we'll persist.
When the calm returns,
We'll look back on this dark day,
And rise from the burns.
