We have a home & we know it by the name of Planet Earth;
It is the place where 1st signs of life were unearthed.

It's the place where sky-scrapping peaks like Mt. Everest come alive;
And at its bottom resting the ecosystems where wildlife thrives.

This planet displays the magnificent view of the wonders of mighty nature, ever wondrous heights of Himalayas & depth of oceans that go beyond our imagination…

That crystalline purity of Glaciers, greenery of Trees, biodiversity of Wildlife which soothes us;
And to our very surprise, astonish us every year with the discovery of new species and creates a mystic rush!

Such an aesthetic pleasure can nowhere be found on any planet;
We are lucky species & we must be obliged to it.

But what man has made of Environment, he has replaced it with bricks & cement;
The trees are cut down, rivers are polluted, wildlife's killed & now the image of nature is bearing this dent.

Global warming, pollution, greenhouse gases, deforestation, etc are the terms of modern age;
Actions of man are no more definable as they have made scars on the beauty of our natural heritage.

It's the same place that endows our cultural past & once glorified by the works & meditation of sages;
The right time to act and conserve it is right now, otherwise upcoming generations will find the nature trapped in Zoological Parks, Botanical Gardens or just in Pages!

It's our heritage, our history, our future & the saga of our life & death;
The need of hour is timely implementation of sustainable development for its forever healthy health.
