Struggle Poem by Tricia Mae Ann Garcia

Struggle

I stopped attending school,
not because I lacked courage,
but because money drew a line
I could not cross.
I watched my classmates continue
while I stood still,
holding unfinished notebooks
and silent prayers.
But this is not the end of my story.
It is only the chapter
where I learn to stand,
even without a classroom.
