I try not to stare,
I see your face everywhere,
I know you are my best friend,
But in the end,
I want to be together,
Forever and ever,

Your hugs make me smile,
I feel I could run a mile,
When I am upset and start to cry,
You hold me and comfort me oh my,

When you told me that there was a girl,
I felt like it was the end of the world,
In my mind she couldn’t have you,
But there was nothing I could do,

I heard you asked her out,
Felt like I could curl in a corner and pout,
You haven’t called me in days,
Just to say hi or it’s okay,

When I heard the phone,
I picked it up and there you were alone,
You said that you were done with her,
You told me that I was your lover.
