Suburban Days Poem by john mcleish

Suburban Days

Once I dreamt
I had a wee hoose and garden
the bairns runaboot
laughing and playing

The sky so blue
as I sat in the shade
family life,
suburban days

But that dreams a' gone noo
and as I awake, alone
I think, selfishness has cost me everything
the rage has taking it's toll
