ଅଚାନକ କୁଟି ଦେଲା ବର୍ଷା,
ଚହଲେଇ ଦେଲା ଆମର ଦେହ ମନ।
କେହି ବି ଆମେ
ପାରିଲେ ନି ରହି ନିଜ ନିଜଠି।

ବହୁତ କିଛି ଲେଖିଲେ
ପରସ୍ପରର କାଗଜରେ,
କଣ କଣ ଲେଖିଲେ
ପାରିଲେ ନି ଜାଣି।

ବର୍ଷା ଛାଡିଥିଲେ ବି
ନୂଆ ପତ୍ରରୁ ଟପ୍ ଟପ୍ ପଡୁଥିଲା
ଆଉ କହୁଥିଲା ଅଛି ମୁଁ ତଥାପି
କହିବାକୁ ଆଗାମୀ କାହାଣୀ।

English rendering;

All of a sudden
The rain poured.
And trembled our
Body and mind.
And none of us
Stayed with ourselves.

We have written much
On the paper of others,
Know not though,
What we have written.

Though, no rain now
Water drops from
The newly born leaves.
And told still, I am here
To tell the forthcoming story.
