Sugar Moon Sacrifice - Poem by Lisa Arnold

sugar moon sacrifice
red sky dawn
tiger claw-like
fingernails
dig in earth

morning’s rescue
fades beyond
the depths
of the watery
abyss

broken life mired
behind veil of
truth and lies
falls forever
silent
