Suicide - Poem by Ethan Connolly

Its not a route
You want to take
Taking a blade
To the skin
It's like taking a blade
To a piece of art
Taking a bottle of pills
Is like killing off a flower
Before its blossomed
You might be thinking
Whose this asshole
Telling me how
To live my life
Bet he's never even
Contemplated suicide
Well the way
I live my life now
I might as well
I have zero self-preservation
I put myself in situations
Where I could die
Not for the thrill of it
But for the chance
To escape everything
To finally grow my wings
To take flight to the sky
I'm getting better
Slowly but surely
Life's looking better
On this new dawn
Just remember these words
That I'm about to say
You're beautiful
And without you
The world shall lose
Another angel
Who grew their wings
Far to quickly
