Summer Fun Poem by robert snively

Summer Fun

Breaking ties
New love ignites as old love dies
Old faces fade as the new prosper
Our twelve years together have passed
In the blink of an eye
Its time for our final goodbye
But first we have…
Parties and good times
Conversation and fast lines
Hangin out with friends
Livin life like it would never end
With Friendships that will never die
No matter how far we go from here
We will always be close to home
When we got our friends fingertips away
But there’s one thing we will always have
One thing that will never die
One thing that will stay with us in our days to come
We will have our summer fun
And all the memories left with us
From the first party, the first camping trip
To the last bonfire and just plain hanging out
But our new lives are starting and old lives are parting
Friendships dwindle and new ones kindle
Our jobs and our workplace
Families and new face
Consume our present life
But I wish I could just go back…
To the parties and good times
Conversation and fast lines
Hangin out with friends
Livin life like it would never end
I wish I could go back
Back to our summer fun
