Summer In The Street Poem by Anirudh Induchudan Anirudh Induchudan

Summer In The Street

The thirst road slept lenghly
It was a silent summer noon.
The passing of the vehicles broke silence seldom.
The yellow flowers from nearby courtyard
fell into road and flew by breeze.
The tiry beggar slept with his black dog
and bag on road side.
Little children after school hours
walked smartly along streets.
The icecream seller called for them loudly
I stood by my window, witnessing
each event of this summer.
