Summer Roses Poem by May Mustang

Summer Roses

Roses, Roses blooming bright,
In heavenly gardens, what a sight.
Dawn's dew covers the buds in early light;
Floral scents in the air all day and night.

Queens of flowers, roses stay;
Budding, blossoming in their way;
Hues of beauty, quite well laid;
Decorating bride and maid.

Oh, what mind had shaped thee as this?
And what hearts enjoy thy bliss?
Thorns amongst green leaves say that,
"Beauty needs protection, Aye."

Roses, Roses petaled fine;
Standing glorious in sunshine;
Beauty unmatched on Earth, quite benign;
Making floral garlands more divine.
