Sun Sea And Sky Poem by Mary Champion

Sun Sea And Sky

1
Deckchairs are set out,
bright bath tow'ls spread on the sand,
clear blue skies promising warmth.

2
Between earth and sky
the wide horizon stretches.
The world seems timeless.

3
The sea is calm now,
colours change in the sunlight,
gentle ripples dance.

4
From those blue mountains
icy streams flow riverwards
then on to the sea.

5
In warm golden fields,
cereals are ripening
as orchards bear fruit.

6
Wanton winds whirling;
dark clouds brimming with menace
winter night falling.

7
Sultry summer's day,
bees out hustling for nectar
raid drowsy flowers.
