Sunsong Poem by Chris Whittle

Sunsong

Sunsong

Every soul has it's burden and every heart has it's care
But weighing up the good and bad, don't you think God is fair?
A gift for this one here and a talent for that one there
Thus overall a reasonably balanced affair

I know it's unpredictable and suffering abounds
And all manner of cruel injustice is doing the rounds
But it works remarkably well considering the grounds
Thus out of harsh loveless soil beauty and joy still astounds

Like you and me it's got it's faults yet it muddles along
Strength when strength is needed and renewed heart for a song
Lone refugee and orphan find a home where they belong
The bitter darkness washed away by the rays of Sunsong

It's rewarding to drink in the views from a mount
ain high
The harmonious vista below moves our hearts to sigh
The broader scene is quite serene though up closer we cry
Whilst yet the build continues the ultra clean up draws nigh
