Surf That Ripple - Poem by Darby Christopher

My minds eye has taken me to water again
as it often does when winter begins its end
i long to be in any floating device
i'm fishing with part of my mind and body
and observing shimmering stars
dancing on the surface
with a seperate more engrossed
peace of mind

i have noticed the beauty made
by the sun
and the water
with the breeze
those stars can
surf that ripple
all day long
