Surreptitious Poem by O Sudhir Janardhanan

Surreptitious

I seek out the sheets that
reek of our togetherness.
And some alleyways, some doors
also do, where we passed thru'.

There are so many places
that we never visited,
Before!
But, sense of deja vu envelops
as we walk around.
We encounter them
in each others thoughts,
Maybe?

Windows jammed shut
by residual awareness.
And some known places we traversed,
long after we met, as strangers thru'.

Dim lit room, stained cushions
we let smiles rest on sadness,
Stripped!
Feelings numb, heart beat dumb
air soft, ground cold
memories where I strolled.
That whisper in my thoughts,
Surreptitious?
