Sway Poem by J W Nelson

Sway

Rating: 5.0

Moving to and fro
Like a wave of the sea
We stop! and then we go
And I drop on one knee

Rising to the beat
I turn my back to you
Quickly moving my feet
So you do the same thing to

Facing each other
We are inches apart
All sound has been smothered
As the pin drops you hear our hearts

Stampeding & charging
We separate and turn
We do the penny farthing
Our feet start to burn

Moving in close
We slide forward and back
And then we coast
Before the all- out attack

A spin, a drop, a dip
We lean, left, right & down
No space between us, not a pip!
This has to get us that dancing crown!

An energy field surrounds us
The chemistry is set alight
Our faces bright like the nexus
It was an unforgettable night

As the crowd went wild
We stood and lapped it up all day
It took three days before things were mild
And all because we danced the sway….
