Sweet Lord - Poem by Gideon Arthur

Lord, Your words are sweet carols
To the heart you have prepared
Ready before thee in rolls
Quicken us with lasting bread
Feed us; we travel the road
Clothe us to battle the cold
Yes, your words are sweet carols

Sweet aroma: your presence
To the heart you reside in
Ready before you in tens
Keep us company, Amen
Guide us: we travel the road
Clothe us to battle the cold
Sweet aroma: your presence

Lord, Sweet touches are thy stripes
To the body you reform
Standing before you like pipes
Give us strength: Jesus conform
Lead us to the land of Gold
Clothe us to battle the cold
Yes sweet touches are thy stripes
