Sweetest Love Poem by Junepaulette GasrelTibbetts

Sweetest Love

The Sweetest Love,
I have ever known...
Came to me,
all of its' own...
Became my friend
along lifes' way...
Refreshes me daily.
Keeps me whole...
The honor I feel
To claim this delight.
No longer to be burden
by ghost of old...
The Sweetest Love
I long to hold...
To be emerged in the glories
Of its' purest delight.
To whisper 'I love you's'
All the rest of my nights.
And carried by the winds of chance.
Becoming yours to reciprocate...
One day...we will not hesitate.
To make good on what truly is...
The Sweetest Love
Not mine at all.
Like borrowing time,
I borrowed your soul...
I spend the moments
Whispering your name.
Holding you closer-than life its self...
Trying to make right
All that is not.
Cherishing your smile in my heart.
Caressing your wounds,
from long ago plights.
What makes us so broken- to fear again?
The Sweetest treasure...
known to a woman and man?
