Swimming In The Rain. Poem by Stephen Pennell

Swimming In The Rain.

Rating: 2.5

The Lido lay empty, No ripples could be seen.
Clouds were growing darker, The lifeguards could not be seen
Loungers lay covered with other peoples towels
Childrens laughter just a memory that echoed on the breeze.

The clouds began to break the sun began to shine
The cheering broke the silence as the children raced to dive
The adults read their books, and began to fry
and all because people don't like swimming in the rain.
