Sybil Poem by Mustafa Marconi

Sybil

I’ve walked across this great divine
In search for treasures I’ve dreamed to find
At last the heavens have sent a sign
I just can’t get you off my mind
I wrestle down my restless feet
To cast my lines; to reach my peak
My thoughts are great I cannot eat
Nor bring my soul to rest or sleep

I’ve walked beyond my place in time
To seek the peace man breathes to find
Although I’ve strived to leave the past behind
I just can’t get you off my mind
I bow my head in prayers and pleads
To guide my heart and set it free
And as I pause to destiny
I asked my Lord to comfort me
I’ve walked across this great divine
In search for treasures I’ve dreamed to find
At last my senses have redefined
My exploits are failures unless you are mine
