Take Me Poem by Bancroft Boreland

Take Me

I have only the friendship of the darkness
As the night has eaten my days
I am thirsty but even water is dry
My heart grows gray hairs
And my soul continues to bleed
Life refuses to give me the things I need

So take me to a place
Where dreams become realities
Take me to a world
Where everything is as I wish it to be
Take me to the house
In which happiness resides
Take me to love
So I can always be by her side
Take me to the things I know I can never have…
