Take Me Away Poem by Eric Mwenda

Take Me Away

Descend upon these hills
like shadows at nightfall,
Knock away this cup i sipping on
of concorted confusions:
a cocktail served by nature herself

My soul is weary
it squiles for freedom beyond these mazes,
My heart still sings
but songs of coming eulogy,
faith is for fools
like a shepherd for stupid sheep:
i want no part of it

Come stealer of time essence
You creaper in shadows and lights,
the invincible,
sailing by waves and winds
through valleys and mountains
and seas and skies,
You tripper of striding men
come now
come and take me away
