Take Me Home Poem by john mcleish

Take Me Home

father, many curse me
as i stand alone
under the weight o' oppression
this body groans

hay ye forgotten me
this flesh and bone
will ye ever forgive me
will i ever atone

noo i see darkness
where once light shone
noo i feel hatred
fur a' their wrongs

i'll alway's love you
etched in stone
father take me we' ye
father take me home
