Take One For The Team Poem by King Happy

Take One For The Team

Don't want the fame
or the opulent attachments
pinned to the collars
of the ambitious.

Forget the cloud mansions
with diamond foundations
who hover extensively in the mind.

Forgo all the milestones.
The career
a spouse
some things
a few kids,
the kids things.

Achieve, but do not focus.
They are distractions
from the true meaning in life.

Seize the moment,
You only live once.
Life is like a box of chocolates?
All hogwash.

You are the moment,
it forever seizes you.

You live many little lives
and die many, many times.

Forrest gump only succeeded
because his mom blew the principal,
so he wouldn't ride the short bus-
She knew what she was getting.
