'Tarquiose Bride & Tarquiose Groom' Poem by Jayakumar Jrain

'Tarquiose Bride & Tarquiose Groom'

walk alone,
not lost, but free,
Not searching just being unapologetically me.
No ring, no rush, no need to explain,
Yet every smile invites the same refrain:
'Why are you single? '—a question so worn,
As if love should arrive by a certain dawn.
As if being whole must mean being two,
As if I'm waiting…
when I never asked to.
I'm not afraid of love—I crave it deep,
The kind that stays when the world falls asleep.
But a partner who's real
you are my sun bride
