Teacher Poem by RickyLee Barber

Teacher

I was told long ago.
By someone wise and old.
If you toss a little stone,
big ripples will unfold.
I have heard in the past,
Young minds are like a sponge.
And those that give to fill them up,
Are the special ones.
Now I have known, some to care
For the little folks.
Never have I known someone,
Like you that cares the most.
Through years of pain and suffering,
You strive to be the best.
Yet only when a sponge is full,
I've seen you stop and rest.
Now since you've come into my life,
I know one thing for sure.
My sponge is full of endless love,
For the teacher I adore.
