Tear Stains (Fav) Poem by Khloe Chace

Tear Stains (Fav)

How was it when it happened?
Did the night fall with shooting stars?
Was it a hailstorm overhead?
A tear stain on the pillow at the end of the bed?

How'd it be like to know
Everything you'll ever see?
Point out the moment and the words
That will lead you straight to be
A blank canvas caterpillar.
Just paint me a butterfly.
When tear clouds cover the suns in your eyes,
Sit back and I'll do my best to tell you why.

Falling stars don't fall forever.
An Autumn leaf will land where it's meant to be.
Pick a red rose, bleed from the thorn.
Jump to a cloud, it will lift you off your feet.

A dusty mirror helps you to not know what you are.
You put up an umbrella when you say you love the rain.
The universe always seems to grow bigger everyday.
When you cry asleep into a pillow, remember
To wipe away the tear stains.

The pen ran out of ink on the very last word.
I wish I could toss out all the scars I've ever heard.
A crystal clear window to see how far we have to go
To escape from a world,
Where teardrops become the rain...

Wipe away, Wipe away, Wipe away.
Wipe away your tear stains.
