Tempo Poem by Ikari No Mae

Tempo

The beat of a racing heart.
That is what keeps me going.
As i'm running in the dark.
Keeping the beat blood flowing.
Searching for the light.
That I cannot find.
Frantic in the night.
My body won't unwind.
The light is gone forever.
Now i'm left in dark.
I reach to pull the lever.
Then I fall apart.
With my pulse racing.
Speeding with grace.
Death I'm now facing.
Trying to keep pace.
I laugh at the reaper.
His blade shining bright.
He swings with great power.
I will die tonight.
The beat of a racing heart.
Death's blade has struck a mortal blow.
I die with great honor.
My world has fell apart.
