Temporary Home Poem by kristi weatherman

Temporary Home

Why is it so dark
It's like thunder clouds
with that cold bitter whip

Listening to the leaves
As they scatter among the ground
Is there anyone here?

My legs are bending
My knees are kneeling
The ground so very cold

I place my hand here
I barely read your stone
This is where you lay, but it isn't called home

I back away, far away
As a tear dropp rolls down
I know I will not see you

Not here, Not now
Only I know one day
We will be together again

I will cry for you
and try my best to move on
Until you tell him it's MY time to come home
