Temptations' Siege Poem by Mystic Qalandar

Temptations' Siege

Seven temptations coil within me,
venom threading the chambers of my heart.
I betray the sacred—
giving shadows a home
in what was meant to be God's temple.

I whisper, desperate,
"Do not let Him see
the monster I have raised."

The beast waits, silent,
its weight upon holy ground,
its hunger fed in secrecy.

My eyes wander—
drifting like ash in windless air,
to the husk of emptiness,
a mirror of despair.

I do not turn toward stillness,
where corruption roots unseen,
nor trace the tightening vines.
I surrender expectation,
believing no light will break,
no fire consume this ruin
beneath a silent sky.

I stand and watch
as unholy settlers dance
on sacred earth.
My prayers taste of ash—
a flat murmur in the throat.

Yet a tremor stirs.
Dust shifts where silence seemed eternal.
Not from my striving,
nor from trust so fractured
it barely breathes.

It is the Keeper of this broken temple,
rising with relentless purpose.
His fire moves,
claiming what was always His.

When His vision falls upon me,
the disguises shrivel in the light.
All false gold collapses.
The fogged glass shatters within.

I see ruin for what it is.
I see truth without its mask.

And in that brightness,
foundations appear—
stark, unwavering,
the place of His dwelling.

Restored.
Cleansed.
Resplendent.

The siege ends—
not by my hand,
but by the One—
The essence of all things.
