Testament In Tears

Make free my soul Lord, take my pain
Make pure this filthy heart
Allow me to be born again
And have a brand new start

I’m plagued with guilt so full of sin
A stench to Heaven high
What hope have I Your love to win
If in this state I’d die

I scarcely sleep with so much fear
My life is so misspent
Yet through Your Son You’re always near
For sinners who repent

I’m crying Lord from deep inside
I’m here on bended knee
There’s nothing that I seek to hide
Nothing You cannot see

You’re King of kings and Lord of all
Creator God alone
I beg forgiveness lest I fall
Into the deep unknown

I’m begging Lord, please don’t decline
You know I’m speaking true
Allow salvation to be mine
That I may serve but You

Accept this child’s apology
This testament I give
Through Jesus’ blood please set me free
And let through faith me live

My future lies within Your hand
Forgive my evil past
Consume the house I built on sand
And give me peace at last
