Texas Poem by Bob Axell

Texas

Barren landscapes
Empty and dry
Flatlined and dyed
In orangewhite rhy

A lone cayote
On a lonesome old road
With worn out edges
Lines with lost glow

By the roadside
A faded sign
Welcome to the state
Of sunshine.
