Our memories would not be the same
Without your love, just being there
Early flickers of black-an-white
Burst in to loves radiant colours
Four Liverpool lads on a journey
Bought us all a ticket to Ride
Knowing that She loved us
No one could keep it inside
Your love came shining through
New era had begun, spreading hope
You shone with joy eight days a week
Ageless love is love for what it seams
Songs of love, of promise, songs anew
Poets' pain ignored by deafening screams
Call for help lost too all, but a few
Only echoes for the discerning so it seems
Hearts shared grief that could not hide
Of what you've been through
All crowds' want is their ticket to ride…
