That Last Lunch Poem by Simran Kshirsagar

That Last Lunch

08/05/2022 lunch with vicky
That innocent interlude
Should not culminate into
Nostalgic consequence
That mild flirtation or rather
The entertaining dialect
Conveyed the impression
Of ephemeral interface
A momentary enjoyment
A corollary, in the response
To the outcome of:
Action & ultimate reaction
Where thought or the act
Never mattered
To be ignored or rather
To be forgotten
Only the present
Be substantive
Be influential
In the forthcoming times
That awaited to materialize
With such finality.
