That's The Thing, I Don'T Know If I Do Qualify? Poem by xolisa stuurman

That's The Thing, I Don'T Know If I Do Qualify?

The most perculiar thing about love, life and relationships it happens in the future, yet highly influenced by our past.
No matter how much we try to run away from it.
It's behind our unconscious mind, constantly reppear in the present.
A form of resurrection which goes to sleep with a dose of happiness.

We keep telling ourselves are we truly over the storms, yet when encountering obstinate waves across the ocean...
We panic and whilst not watching though we know how to swim.
We stand a chance to drown, for mastering the art of breathing was never option to take for not to sink.
Oh, if we knew how to begin a chapter on a new page,
Without straight lines across, just ink on paper.
Or to begin every sentence on immaculate sheet from one end to the other,
Without mess across, just reaching a halt as we run out of space.

Than i'd say i do qualify to enter and leave with something
Tangible, hold dear to life.
If only thy mind could rest with peace.
If only we learnt truthfully so repitition of the past remain just a past.
Than i'd say i do qualify...
