That's Our Dougie Poem by Kevin Patrick II

That's Our Dougie

Hospitals are closing and our healthcare's terminal
Waiting rooms are packed and the sick line in the halls
Nurses are burned out and doctors are stretched thin
and private clinics bleed us and put our backs against the wall
Public health is up for or sale and big business makes a killing
Profiting from suffering, as the sick receive their billings
And its all thanks to Dougie

Housing's in the gutters, and there's nothing left in stock
Rents have tripled up and tenants are told to drown
Private equities are eating entire housing blocks
Homeless camps are spreading into deluxe shanty Towns
And half a million people now have a roof made up of sky
Because their told their worthless and don't deserve a life
And its all thanks to Dougie

Schools are over crowded and classrooms are now war zones
Special needs are being feezed and IEPs are maimed
Teachers face abuse and are pressure cookers
Troubled kids receive no help and live their lives in shame
A generations getting lost because their told their not the cost
And money goes to feed the pigs out of Ford families frost
And its all thanks to Dougie

He puts on his smile and butters his charm
Wiggles his nose like a pig in a trough
Wears a well tailored suit to cover his smarm
A Pompous blowhard who lactates his crowd
He's a well heeled boar with a rats squealed roar
Laughing for the cameras as the cost of life soars
A corporate puppet and corpulent pustulence
He breaths out an odor of foul Arrogance
Spits on the old, the disabled and poor
And kneels to the rich who cry out for more
A fat frat bro who moonlights as a tyrant
Ontario's Trump, to the desperate he's silent

That's Our Dougie

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Inspired by The Premiere of Ontario Doug Ford, a man who has sabotaged, our healthcare, housing and education system, and is using public money for his own benefit. And also planning on allowing Data centers greater access to exploit natural resourcs. He is without a doubt our Donald Trump.
