The Absent Room Poem by Robert Beksinski

The Absent Room

While lying in the warmth of the cotton sheets

Heaven's clouds descend on our embrace

The thick and frothy air visible and cloaking

It becomes a layer to our existence

The world vanishes into obscurity

As our bedroom floats on an island of its own

Swept away in a hidden state of love and passion

Traveling through the stratosphere of infinity

Alone and holding your soft and gentle body

I kiss you in our private land

The bed in which we made into a kingdom

Until we sleep in the arms of our dreams

And wistfully float home

To rejoin the world we left behind
