The Alchemy Of Annihilation Poem by Mystic Qalandar

The Alchemy Of Annihilation

Shatter the chain the self conceals,
Where shadow binds what light reveals.
When motion's lamp burns dim and low,
And time's carved marble cracks and slows—
When soul holds no returning sound,
On what far ground is the mind found?

I. The Veiled Soul

Is the soul—that sacred, breathed-on spark,
That flowed in rivers through the dark—
Now caged entirely in clay,
A flicker of the flesh's day?

That flame which set the heart's vault bright,
A hidden sun in palms of night—
To what far universe has it fled?
And are the words the saints once said
Now nomad whispers, left to drift
On dust the city streets will lift?

Has the wide cosmos burned away
To but a mirage of the day?
Does any cup still overflow
With the strong wine the gods bestow?
Or do arms, empty, learn their need
As the soul's eaten by its greed?

II. The Silent River

The answer lies beyond the asking—
Hushed are the whispers you are tasking.
Dissolve into the river's core,
The single truth, the evermore.
Melt through the veil where selves disperse,
A drop of light amidst the curse
Of mirage, secret, phantom's art—
Become the one and falling part.

Remember this: each fallen screen
Begins a story yet unseen.
Each lightless night will mother
The dawn's first gleam—there is no other.

III. The Shattering

Break, then, each link, each bond, and chain
That ties your soul to myths of pain.
Only by this shattering
Comes the first valley of the King.

That spark—the fire the traveler bears—
An undrowned lamp that cancels cares—
Will set your inner sky aflame,
And call you by your secret name.

Shatter the cycle. Then you'll see
Annihilation's destiny—
Then helplessness, peace, union, secrecy.

IV. Fana and Baqa

This is the stage of fana,
The stage where dying in divine colour
finds the soul in baqa-billah.
Here, you are lost and found anew;
The flame speaks what the soul now knew
In the hushed gathering of none—
The final truth, the work is done.

This secret, in the Sufi's breast,
Puts every traveler to the test:
First, break the chain,
Then you will find—
Your self, the cosmos, and all mind
Are but a single, taken breath—
That is your life, and this, your essence.
