The Anchor Poem by Henrik Berg

The Anchor

Rating: 4.5

I dont'tknow why I miss Her
-so much. so sudden.
Maybe she was my anchor,
when I needed to set sail
And now when I need a protective cove,
I've no thing to steady me.
Only the wind, whipping the salty waves
towards my once so strong and steady bow.
The wind will take me places,
For it has me in it's grip.

I'm a sailboat who left its anchor.
Raise my sails with the wind - for I've become its slave.

I love how this poem uses imagery. I can sense your loss and frustration through the words. This is very good, thank you for sharing it.
