The Angel I Had - Poem by joshua burckhard

can't you see her flying so high
dressed in such bright colors only to hide
she can even make the darkness run and hide
even when she holds out her hand
inviting you to join her
to escape the darkness of a lonely life
only she will tear off such misery
and drag each of us into her glowing embrace
she shows us what we want
to sadly get bored and and shoves us back into the darkness
she'll change her looks and move on to someone else
so all i have to say is this ' good-bye ' my angel
and hopefully you'll be mine again someday
