The Ballerina Poem by Jaime Montanez Salcedo

The Ballerina

Behold her! More lovely than a flower,
Her image circled with a living light,
Endeared is her bosom with love's power,
And her willowy graces are to heart's delight.
In iridescent glows her vision does shower,
And in her gracefulness tender and bright,
Incarnates beauty with its glorious dower,
Luring hearts for her sweetness to alight.
Like a swan does with elegance adorn,
And wants irresistible joy to impart
With attire virginal or hues yet unworn,
The consuming passions alive in her art,
In ethereal motions blissfully born,
Harmonizing with the beating of love's heart.
