The Battle’s Fierce

Still many lost sheep are out there
Wandering plagued with fear
Not knowing life is there’s to share
Not knowing Christ is near

As sure as Jesus bore our shame
His blood cleansed free of sin
So sure today His Holy Flame
Is here our soul to win

We pray for those yet lost and blind
Before The Cloud’s return
That Heaven’s Truth will flood each mind
And Fire in hearts will burn

We pray You send Your Spirit Lord
Your promised guiding Light
We pray Your word Your mighty Sword
To help us win the fight

For boldness in our hearts we seek
With peace and joy to care
Patients to help the weary weak
And love with all to share

The war is on the battle fierce
The foe is running wild
So many wounded shedding tears
Must still be reconciled

We pray the rich will hear Your call
The poor will cease to cry
You hate to see Your children fall
And steeped in sin to die

Again we pray to cleanse their past
To help them understand
That all before the final blast
Will join us in Your hand
