The Bee Poem by Dipankar Sadhukhan

The Bee

Within a wondrous bower blooms a rose,
Whose woven fragrance chains the breathing air;
The enchanted bee beholds its radiant close,
And drawn by deep desire, hastens there.

A sip awakes in him profound desire,
He craves the immortal draught to make him whole;
Soft petals slake the thirst of holy fire,
Their tender breath restores his weary soul.

The hour of union crowns his waiting prime,
With honey drunk, he tastes supernal bliss;
All worlds converge within that sacred time,
As grief dissolves beneath a golden kiss.

Now life attains at last its perfect grace,
Blest on this earth, fulfilled in that embrace.
