The Bee-Bird Poem by Guy Northam

The Bee-Bird

Rating: 4.5

You were like a bee,
Like a very large bee,
Humming in my hand.

You were a bird,
A small bird,
Chirping in your vibrancy.

You were God made resolute,
Made temporal;
Divine for a day.

You could not last the night,
It would stifle you,
Darkness smother you.

You were dead by morning.
