The Beginning Of A Lie Poem by EWJ Stardog

The Beginning Of A Lie

Remember the years you trampled through ash
Seeing your life travel from the present to the past
Only to realize your day will come at last

Let me tell you of stories, about time gone by
and the evil men do for their religious right. So hang
on my dear and let your mind take you for a ride don’t
forget hold on tight

Don’t be frightened dear, for I’m your father, and
your light, I just tell you the truth not to hide behind
blinders on my eyes

So let me dab your crying eyes my dear, because
life after death is blatant lie, told to us
through the blanketed vision of Christian eyes

Come one come all to the center of stage. Get
On one knee and begin to pray. If it soothes your
Soul and your mind jump on the band wagon
not to be left behind

Just remember when the end finally comes
It’s not who you prayed to or if there is a man above
It’s if you left this world and people missing your love.
