You have nothing to lose.
Release the clutching mind.
Free yourself from the fever
of loss and gain.
Let your heart sink deep
into the ocean of Truth.
For Truth alone is the vessel.
It will carry you across
the churning sea of worldly becoming—
if you seek its shelter
and set your sail upon the True Name,
upon this shoreless, fathomless deep
where no compass holds its north
and no horizon beckons.
No charm, no amulet,
no arduous yogic feat,
no hollow repetition of sacred verse,
no mantra, no borrowed title of a master—
none can bear you to the other side
if the heart lies dormant,
still unawakened to the Real.
Only Truth wields the broom
that sweeps away the clinging mist,
the low-hanging clouds
that veil the sky of consciousness—
the broom that clears the dust
of crafted theories,
of brittle borrowed beliefs,
of all concepts of a Reality
that thought can never hold.
Turn inward:
Look.
Be still.
Listen—
deep within the chamber of the heart.
Then, like a slow dawn,
the mist of illusion begins to lift.
Kindle the wick of remembrance
with the torch of the Eternal Fire.
Let remembrance rise into flame.
Let the flame blaze into light.
Let that light consume
every fragile veil
that stands between you
and the Truth.
And in that final, searing clarity,
you will discover:
there was never an ocean to cross,
never a shore to reach,
never a traveler, separate and alone.
The Boat,
the Sea,
the Name,
the Fire,
and the One who yearns—
have always been,
and will always be,
the Truth.
