I see in Christ you taught me well
I feel like fire within
I feel the need the world to tell
How she in Christ can win
The Father’s blood now in my veins
Runs hot in deep despair
For all those lost yet bound in chains
In need of love and care
I bless the time with you we spent
At Jesus’ wondrous feet
But now from you this child is sent
To tend God’s precious wheat
Just for a while, for us you’ll grieve
For each that’s left your breast
Our children too, must yet receive
Before they leave the nest
Before they too can learn to fly
Life’s milk they need to share
Upon our knees for this we cry
Please join your daughters’ prayer
Pray too, like stones we’ll stand up strong
Within The Builder’s hands
That in His strength it won’t take long
To quench the thirsty lands
You gave us all you had to give
You’ve taught us not to fall
So here and now in Christ we live
In answer to His call
Now all the earth must first be told
All in your walls we’ve learned
So pray we’ll stand, preach Christ more bold
Until our Groom’s returned…
