The Cage Of The Soul Poem by Mystic Qalandar

The Cage Of The Soul

This blue sphere—
a trembling breath enclosed,
keeper of hidden light,
a mirror veiled upon the fire.

Neither prison nor nest,
but the soul's own cage;
where love is lost in forgetting,
and the heart, dazzled,
burns in its own flame.

The song of the soul bleeds—
its strings grow silent;
the inner garden withers,
flowers harden into stone,
and the river of being
dries into dust.

Compassion folds into nothingness;
a secret war begins within—
thought against thought,
shadow against light.

The chamber of the heart
smolders in darkness,
its lamp buried in ash.
The soul thirsts,
living only on mirages.

Yet the hour draws near—
the eye of dreams reopens,
a forgotten flame stirs.
The cage reveals a door,
its bars dissolving into light.

The one who held
is the one who releases;
what seemed a wall
becomes the way.
By remembering,
the fire of captivity rises—
and the soul steps forth,
not into another world,
but into the boundlessness within.
