The Cold Poem by Molly LaBelle

The Cold

Rating: 1.5

Most days
Your smiling face brightens mine
Just a little
Other days, when it is just
Me,
My soul,
And the emptiness,
I am painfully real.
I think maybe
That’s why I’ve always liked winter
Because when the sun is not around
Everyone shows how cold they really are
