The Cost Of Ignorance Poem by Buxton Shippy

The Cost Of Ignorance

The cost of ignorance so great
Gallows become pillars
For the sanctuary;
Its alluring qualities
Seem a luminous bliss.

Never get tangled in its sophistry
Or clap-trap on the news.

Who can count the lives lost,
The lingering pain,
Freedoms caged;
Caused by not knowing?
